CYCLOMOTOR Chapuis Frères type MOSKITO 1956 A brief history of the brand Manufacture : 1931-1933, and after the war with Mosquito Chapuis Frères engines Presto concluded an agreement with Garelli to build Mosquito engines under license. A new factory was built for this purpose and the first engines came off the production line in 1950, with two Presto chassis kits, Confort and Sport. At the 1951 Paris Motor Show, they presented a new machine, the BMG (Bici Mosquito Garelli) with a 49cc type 315 engine. The general opinion was that it was a pretty good moped but suffered from bad lighting, like all Mosquito's. The icenicam article cited below also explains that the BMG seemed to be designed for riders with duck disease. Models include: Presto 1 through 5 were all equipped with a 48cc VAP 57 two-stroke Presto 4 Carrier Presto 5 Sport had a dual seat and motorcycle style. It was the most expensive of the range.
