FRAME - Italy, Venice (?), 16th century (86 x 72 x 18.4 cm) Sansovino" style frame in finely carved and partially gilded wood, the pediment and base centered on a winged cherub's head bordered by large foliate scrolls adorned with garlands of falling fruit, the sides centered on a seated figure standing on a large cartouche topped by a winged cherub's head in profile and adorned with garlands of falling fruit. The rabbet is edged with a frieze of heart-shaped raisins. 16th century Dimensions: 86 x 72 x 18.4 cm (Minor restorations and gilding)
