ACADEMIE DE LA GRANDE CHAUMIERE, 20th century Alice DANNENBERG (1861-1948) Notebook of drawings of Venetian landscapes, nude studies and various everyday scenes Enclosed are a set of letters and cards to Madame Rose and Maurice TESTARD's "Douce Souvenance", published by Vigot Frères 1963, Paris, dedicated on the front cover to Madame Rose's daughter, Rosine Roignoux. Provenance: This set belonged to Madame Rose, guardian of the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Very close to the artists, she accumulated throughout her life numerous notebooks of academician artists passing through the workshops of the Grande Chaumière in the Montparnasse district of Paris.
