AMMOLITE - Lot 18
AMMOLITE
Placenticeras meecki
Maestrichtian 70 million years
Bearpaw Shale, Alberta
39 x 31 cm
A beautiful and spectacular ammoLite. The colors are due to the different minerals that attach to the shell during fossilization and to the geological history of the rocks that contain it.
On this specimen, the colors range from blue to red to green. A veritable paleontological rainbow.
