Hallali au sanglier panel from the Grandes Chasses décor, Manufacture Delicourt, 1851, design by painter Antoine Dury, polychrome printing requiring 4,000 plates. Décor in the style of F. Desportes, composed of a suite of three paintings presented at the 1851 London World's Fair. Panel of three strips, mounted on canvas, (some wear) 219 x 156 cm M. Wolowsky, editor of the Exhibition jury's proceedings, notes: "La chasse dans la forêt was rightly ranked among the most remarkable works of the Universal Exhibition" "M. Delicourt's chasse proved that the wallpaper industry is capable of achieving the finest artistic effects, and that it has definitively conquered its place among the most splendid productions approved by taste".
