Two Kütahya cups and saucers Siliceous paste with polychrome painted decoration under a transparent colorless glaze Turkey, Kütahya, 18th century H : 6.7 and Diam : 10.7 cm H : 7 and Diam : 11 cm One is decorated with alternating vases and bouquets, with en suite decoration on its saucer, bordered by a frieze of leaves. The second features alternating mandorla and flower motifs on the body, and a frieze of geometric motifs on the neck and a flowerette on the base, with a saucer (probably brought in) decorated with mandorla motifs. Antique label on one of the saucers. A similarly decorated cup and saucer are in the Victoria and Albert Museum (acc. no. 607&A-1874). Similar examples are also published in: Kürkman G.
