Supe club, Malaita Island, Solomon Islands - Late 19th / early 20th century Wood, plant fibers, rattan - H.: 82 cm in the shape of a drawn lozenge with raised median and transverse edges, covered on its lower half with woven plant fibers accompanied by a rattan link also woven to end on a triangular pommel. Smooth wood with light to dark brown patina. Misses and restoration (left corner) Provenance: Former Belgian private collection
