Anonymous (rare unknown in Grand-Carteret), Nouvelle métromanie ou l'Ecolier de rhétorique. S.l.n.d (calendar dated 1811).in-32, filled calendar - 34 ff including 10 hors-texte plates. Bound in full black morocco, boards decorated with mythological motifs representing a phoenix on a column with an animal lying at the foot of the work, bow and quiver in the background. All framed in gilt Greek and gilt fillet; smooth spine adorned with gilt motifs, gilt edges, gilt dominoté paper counters (probably a slipcase). A rare collection of chansonnettes and ariettes in the taste of the time, beautifully illustrated and intended as gifts for the ladies. Unknown to Grand-Carteret.
