FRAME Spain XVII-XVIIIth century (45.5 x 35.5 x 13 cm) Ochre and gold lacquered molded wood frame with upside-down profile, topped by a large shell, decorated with sgrafitto staples in the corners and middles and painted floral motifs. 45.5 x 35.5 x 13 cm (visible wear and missing parts) The painted decoration is, as is often the case, the result of the brushwork and imagination of 17th-century Spanish frame decorators.
